No fireworks. No cook-outs. No speeches. No parade. Just words conveying powerful ideas. Words to live by.
This was a lesson in technical typing. I seldom use tabs so this was a learning experience. To get even this imperfect document I first wrote the content by hand and then I typed it into a word processor to experiement with the spacing of the word table. I typed the document twice, and rows from the table many more times, to get the spacing correct and somewhat presentable. I used the “insert-a-letter” function to correct the fact I left a letter out of the word “definition” and I was too lazy to attempt the whole document again. Center-justifying the title requires planning and experimentation. Using a typewriter is a mental game. This was a good mental workout first thing in the morning. I feel like I am ready for the day now.
I visited the Merrifield post office today. Yes, I mailed three letters. Go check your mailbox on Monday.
